RECENT WORK

In the past two months, I have left my home state of Minnesota and moved west to Las Vegas for a staff job at the Las Vegas Review-Journal. It's a chaotic move and a lifestyle switch but I couldn't be more excited to start my career here. Below are a few images from my first month or so here in Sin City. This image of a girl hiking while fighting the wind illustrates what this move at times has felt like, lol.

JOHNNY TOCCO'S RINGSIDE GYM

Sonny Liston, Mike Tyson, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes, Marvin Hagler, Mike McCallum and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are all a few that have trained here. Johnny Tocco's Ringside Gym was established in the early 1950's and with over 60 years of operation, the gym still holds a large stake in Las Vegas's boxing scene. The gritty, no-frills boxing gym continues to be a place where up-and-comers train but also has a wide breadth of patrons from amateurs or casual boxers to retired fighters.
